Home Improvement Calculators for India

Buildmator's India calculators default to INR, and unlike the other regions, flooring area defaults to square feet since that's how Indian real estate and flooring quotes are almost always expressed — other measurements stay metric. Each calculator returns a low-to-high planning range built from your own inputs, with the pricing assumptions shown so you can adjust them to match local rates before comparing against a contractor's quote.

How localized estimates work

The base calculator produces a national planning range from your material and labour inputs. The advanced flow adds a location adjustment using the first three digits of your PIN code, matched against verified metro-level pricing for Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur; PIN codes outside those metros fall back to a modeled national estimate rather than an invented figure. Project-condition factors then widen the high end of the range.

How estimates are built

1. Project quantities

Area, volume, bags, or materials — from the dimensions you enter.

2. Trade pricing

Epoxy, concrete, or labor rates you enter, or our researched range.

3. Local adjustment

The best verified regional pricing data available for your location.

4. Project conditions

Prep, removal, finish, and other factors that widen the range.

We show a range because contractor pricing varies — and we always disclose which pricing level (metro, region, or national) your estimate used.

Measurement and pricing notes

Flooring area is entered in square feet by default to match common market usage, while post-hole depth and concrete quantities use metric units. Metro-level pricing adjustments reflect how material and labour costs in India vary significantly between major cities and smaller towns.

Planning estimate, not a quote

A contractor's written quote will typically add GST, plus transportation or cartage charges for materials delivered to site — Buildmator's planning range doesn't attempt to estimate either, since both vary by state and supplier. Use the calculator to check the materials-and-labour range a quote is built on, not the final bill.

Where to go next

Open a calculator above for a national planning range in minutes, or use the advanced flow and enter your state and PIN code for a metro-adjusted estimate where available. If you're planning a project in another country, switch region below — each region keeps its own currency, units, and pricing data.
