About Berjin
Berjin B V is the founder and calculator methodology editor at Buildmator. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University and has more than three years of professional experience.
His engineering studies included material testing, fatigue, tensile strength, and reliability research. His final-year project examined how different materials perform under these conditions. He also holds a product lifecycle management certificate focused on Creo Parametric.
Role at Buildmator
Berjin reviews the formulas, worked examples, assumptions, regional inputs, and source notes used in Buildmator's calculators and guides. The goal is to show how an estimate is produced, where its inputs come from, and which project conditions still require a supplier or contractor to confirm them.
Read the Buildmator methodology for the review process and the limits of each planning estimate.
How Berjin reviews Buildmator content
For quantity calculators, Berjin checks the geometry, unit conversions, material displacement, waste allowance, and rounding used in the result. Buildmator's automated tests separately check core calculation cases and conversion behaviour.
For cost calculators, he checks whether a source describes materials, labour, or a complete installed price; whether its units and currency match the market; and whether an input is directly researched or modeled. Buildmator publishes low-to-high planning ranges and the date each source was checked because local quotes can still differ.
Regional reviews also cover local unit conventions, common concrete bag sizes, currencies, and the assumptions shown beside each result. Translated pages use the same calculation data as their corresponding English market pages.
