What Buildmator is
Buildmator is a set of free, no-signup calculators for home improvement projects. Each one turns your project details into a transparent low–high planning range, with the assumptions and cost drivers stated, rather than a single number presented as exact. The current library covers epoxy flooring costs and concrete quantities for fence posts. New calculators are added only after their formulas, assumptions, and regional defaults have been documented and tested. Calculators are available for United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and India.
How it works
Start with the free calculator for a quick planning result — no account, no contact details, nothing saved. Some cost calculators offer an advanced, location-adjusted estimate — it refines the same calculation using your location and a few project conditions, and the server-verified result is shown to you immediately after you submit your contact details. Some project types let you request a free quote, which Buildmator prepares manually and sends to you when it's ready. Nothing about your project is stored until you submit one of those forms. What Buildmator is not
Buildmator does not run a contractor marketplace, automatically match you with contractors, sell leads or personal data, or claim to know your exact local price. It's a planning tool, meant to help you set a realistic budget, understand what drives your project's cost, and sanity-check quotes you get elsewhere. For some project types Buildmator may prepare a quote for you on request and send it to you — that's a quote from Buildmator, not a contractor's bid, and it doesn't share your details with anyone to produce it.
Who reviews the calculators
Berjin B V, Buildmator's founder and calculator methodology editor, reviews the formulas, worked examples, assumptions, and source notes used in the calculators. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University and has a background in materials testing and reliability research.
