How localized estimates work
The base calculator produces a national planning range from your material and labour inputs. The advanced flow refines that range using a postcode-derived cost adjustment: your postcode's area code (the letters before the first digit) is mapped to a London, regional, or national pricing band built from verified UK sources, then the high end is widened for project-condition factors like resin system or hole depth. There's no separate state or county field to fill in — just your postcode.

Measurement and pricing notes
UK trade pricing is metric throughout, so flooring area defaults to square metres and post-hole dimensions to millimetres or centimetres, with resin and concrete typically priced per square metre or per bag. Postcode-based regional bands (Inner/Outer London, South East, Midlands, North West, and others) reflect that UK material and labour costs vary noticeably by region, especially around London.
