Free calculator use — nothing is stored

If you use a free calculator and don't go any further, Buildmator stores nothing about you or your project. Your inputs and results live only in your browser's temporary session storage, so the numbers stay filled in if you move to the advanced estimate or a quote request — that data clears automatically when your browser session ends, and it's never sent to Buildmator's servers just from calculating.

Advanced estimates and quote requests — same, until you submit

Opening the epoxy advanced estimate or a fencing or decking quote form and answering its questions doesn't create a record either — those answers stay in your browser the same way. A record is created only when you complete the contact form on either flow.

What's stored when you submit

Submitting the contact form sends your first name, last name, email, mobile number, postal code / region, your project's inputs, and the server-recomputed result to Buildmator, where they're stored so we can provide the estimate, prepare a requested fencing or decking quote, and follow up about your project if appropriate. If you submit more than once with the same email, region, and tool, Buildmator updates your existing record rather than creating a duplicate — earlier projects on other tools or in other regions are kept, not overwritten.

For an epoxy advanced estimate, the result is calculated on Buildmator's server and shown to you on the page immediately. For a fencing or decking quote, Buildmator prepares the quote manually and sends it to you by email when it's ready.

What Buildmator does not do

• Buildmator does not sell leads or your personal information.
• Buildmator does not share your details with contractors, operate a contractor marketplace, or automatically match you with a contractor.
• Buildmator does not use a third-party CRM or marketing platform.
• Buildmator does not run analytics or advertising tracking on the site — there are no analytics cookies.

Third-party services

Buildmator is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests to serve the site and store submitted data (Cloudflare Pages and D1). The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission is coming from a real browser, not a bot — this involves Cloudflare processing your request in order to verify it. These providers process data on Buildmator's behalf; that is not the same as selling or sharing your details commercially.

On the advanced estimate and quote pages only, when you enter a complete postcode / ZIP / PIN, your browser looks it up directly against a free public postcode service to show the resolved place name: postcodes.io for the UK,api.postalpincode.in for India, and Zippopotam.us for the US, Canada, and Australia. The request goes from your browser to that service (which sees your IP address and the postcode); it is not routed through Buildmator's servers, and the free calculator pages never make this lookup. If a lookup fails, the form still works and Buildmator does not claim a resolved place it didn't get.

Your data, your choices

You can ask what Buildmator has stored about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing privacy@buildmator.com.

If this policy changes in a way that affects what's collected or how it's used, this page will be updated and the date above will change.
