How localized estimates work
The base calculator gives you a national planning range from your inputs. The advanced flow adds a location adjustment using your postal code's Forward Sortation Area — the first three characters — which is currently matched against verified metro-level pricing for Toronto, Vancouver, and Regina; other FSAs fall back to the national baseline rather than an invented number. Project-condition factors then widen the high end of the range.

Measurement and pricing notes
Canada is genuinely mixed: flooring area is commonly quoted in square feet by contractors but epoxy coatings are often priced per square metre or per litre by suppliers, so both units are available in the calculator. Post-hole and concrete quantities follow whichever unit your local supplier uses — switch units inside the calculator to match your quote.
