How localized estimates work
The base calculator gives you a national planning range from the quantities and unit prices you enter. The advanced, location-adjusted flow applies a state-level cost adjustment built from published regional price-parity and cost-of-living data — used as a documented proxy for regional labor and material cost variation, not a direct construction-pricing index — then widens the high end further for project-condition factors like floor prep or hole depth. States without a directly reported figure fall back to the national baseline rather than guessing.

Measurement and pricing notes
US listings and quotes are almost always in imperial units, so area is entered in square feet and lengths in feet and inches by default — you can still switch a calculator to metric if you prefer. Pricing is per square foot for flooring and per bag or per cubic yard for concrete, matching how US suppliers typically quote.
