What Buildmator is

Buildmator provides free planning calculators for home improvement projects. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

Estimates are planning ranges, not quotes

Every result Buildmator produces is a planning estimate based on the details you enter and, where available, researched regional pricing data. It is not a quote from any contractor or supplier, and Buildmator does not guarantee that a contractor will match it. Actual project costs depend on factors a calculator can't fully know in advance — see Methodology for what goes into an estimate and what doesn't.

No structural, code, or safety guidance

Buildmator's calculators estimate material quantity and planning-level cost. They do not evaluate structural adequacy, required frost depth, wind load, soil suitability, or local building code and permit requirements. Confirm those with a licensed contractor or your local building department before starting construction — don't rely on a Buildmator result for a safety- or code-related decision.

Appropriate use

Buildmator is intended for personal project planning. Don't use it to generate content presented as a professional quote, structural assessment, or code-compliance determination, and don't attempt to disrupt the service (for example, automated bulk submissions) or circumvent its bot protection.

No warranty

Buildmator is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to the accuracy or completeness of any estimate, pricing data, or content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buildmator is not liable for decisions made or costs incurred based on a result it produces.

Changes

These terms, and the calculators themselves, may change over time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
